The Legends of The Lanes

The Lanes is the oldest part of Brighton, a maze of streets bounded by North, East and West Street. The Market, the Monastic Farm, the Poorhouse and Fishermen's Cottages managed to squeeze into this area.. Every building, alley and twitten has a story to tell. I can tell you these stories. I will show you where Lord Olivier made his stage debut, where the Beatles played. The favourite pubs of Graham Greene and Patrick Hamilton, where Oscar Wilde liked to dine. I can show you smugglers' haunts and many other suprising places.

A Seaside Saunter

A gentle promenade or a walk on the wild side? You decide on this fascinating walk discovering Brighton's past and present, famous, infamous and incredulous! Keith Waterhouse said "Brighton looks like the kind of place that is continuously helping the police with its enquiries"....why? come and find out!

For Groups

I design walk/coach trips catering to the interests, ages and time available to your group.
The walk may include the seafront and The Brighton Pier, the Lanes, the exteriors of the Theatre Royal and the Royal Pavilion, a stroll in the Pavilion Gardens ~ only a few examples of locations reflecting the history and culture of Brighton that I can incorporate.

If you have booked a coach, the walk can be combined with a tour to cover a wider area, I will give an on board commentary. The group tours can begin at any central location in Brighton.

Please contact me, Lyn Neville. to discuss the perfect walk for you,for groups, overseas students, school syllabus, celebrations, a spooky ghost walk or an especially tailor- made walk.
