"Shiver at the dark secrets of Brighton's ghoulish scene, around the town, visit two ancient graveyards, finishing outside a haunted inn for those who want spirits of a different kind!"
Did you know that Brighton can lay claim to be one of the most haunted places in England?
Join your intrepid guide outside the Brighton Town Hall, Bartholomew Square, for an entertaining exploration of the subject. We stop at many interesting sites in the oldest part of Brighton, the Lanes, for explanations of what has been seen, and by whom. Through the alleyways to see the place where the grey lady is said to have been bricked up alive...where a murdered smuggler's spirit will not rest....and two spooky former graveyards with secrets to tell....This tour also includes the Theatre Royal and the Royal Pavilion. If you've not been on a ghost walk before and are wondering what to expect, read on:
What exactly happens on the tour? The guide tells you all about the various hauntings, past and present, which have taken place, as well as stories of strange things which have happened . The tour is fully illustrated with visual material.
How far do we walk?
Around a mile, a circular route which finishes near the starting point.
Do you need to believe in ghosts to enjoy the tour? No, you will find the tour interesting and entertaining whatever your views on the subject.
Why are you guiding a ghost walk? I've always been interested in the supernatural, and since being involved in the first Brighton Ghost Walk organised by local blue Badge guides in 1981, the interest in the subject has grown tremendously.
Is it suitable for children? Don't you finish at a pub? Yes, children love it! We finish outside the pub, it's your choice whether to go in.
